Blood River
Blood River
Moonlight spread on my hard bed
I saw your eyes in my sleep
Your gaze was deep and I knew
Your gaze was deep and I knew
Blood River,
Blood River
Take me to the Land of Hell
Where you and I meet soul-to-soul
To never be apart again
Our cord was cut by the Universe
We floated away with each others’ hearts
I went East and you went West
Flying around, our memory of birth
Flying around, our memory of birth
Blood River
Blood River
Take me to the Land of Hell
Where you and I meet eye-to-eye
To never be apart again
You’re my curse
I’m your noose
Raise me gently
Burn the hearth
Raise me gently
Burn the hearth
In a Nowhereland in the Universe
Blood River
Blood River
Take me to the Land of Hell
Where you and I meet soul-to-soul
To never be apart again
I’ll bury you with my hand
in the distant sand
We’ll hold each other and never leave again
I hear your heartbeat to the end of life
I hear your heartbeat to the end
Blood River
Blood River
Take me to the Land of Hell
Where you and I meet eye-to-eye
To never be apart again

Where you and I meet soul-to-soul

Comments:
Killer show by Pearl Jam in advance of their upcoming release "Lightning
Bolt." In addition to featuring several songs from the new album,
lightning played a major role in this concert in that heavy
thunderstorms forced a three-hour delay after the seventh song. The band
returned at nearly midnight and by the end of the show, had delivered a
nearly three-hour set (spanning 8:15 PM to 2:05 AM). In a testament to
the band's loyal fan base, virtually nobody left during the lengthy
delay, and during the encore I looked up and saw even the nosebleed
sections were still packed. Although it was a long show, there were
about 7 songs from the original handwritten setlist that were dropped in
order to get under the (revised) 2 a.m. curfew -- so the original
planned length would have been over 3 1/2 hours.
I was 15th row floor in line with the left stack - great taping
location. There is some audience chatter nearby between songs and a few
whoops, but altogether a very respectful crowd. (In the "second set," I
suspect people were getting too tired to do much whooping.) I figured
I'd put this up because even though it doesn't have the same fidelity as
the Schoeps sources (Church Audio aren't Schoeps, unfortunately) it
sounds great and in parts has more "immediacy" than the other two. The
others are both great on their own, so you may not have an appetite for
yet another source; I figured there may be some hard-core collectors
that would appreciate another one to choose from.
I hope PJ adds a Chicago stop (or two, or three) to the fall shows. They
are a class act, and one of the best live artists around. Many other
bands would have cut and run when the second round of storms approached
(pushing the expected one-hour delay to almost three), but I suspect
Eddie really didn't want to let the faithful down.

The Complete Nebraska Session
Colts Neck, New Jersey
December 1981 - January 1982
from THE LOST MASTERS I:
Alone In Colts Neck
Labour Of Love LOVE 001

Volume 1, was the gem of the Lost Masters set for many people. The
long-awaited original acoustic version of Born in the USA can finally be
heard, and the true meaning of the song cannot be ignored in an
arrangement somewhat similar to the solo acoustic tour version, albeit a
bit faster. One has to wonder how differently the song would have been
received had this version been released.
Downbound Train was another song supposedly recorded for Nebraska, and,
it must be said, was done a favour when Bruce and the E Street Band
later recorded it for Born in the USA.
Child Bride is essentially Working on the Highway but slowed down
tremendously, and some say that Child Bride is better than it's album
counterpart; a friend said that if the entrepreneurs behind the Lost
Masters were ever tried, they could play Child Bride back to back with
Working on the Highway and they would be acquitted.
Another interesting note is the song Losin' Kind about a couple who
commit a crime before crashing their car in the snow, essentially the
same song as Highway 29, released almost 14 years later on The Ghost of
Tom Joad album.

Men at Work

Hamilton, Ontario
MTV Broadcast 1982
Audio Only
**In memory of Greg Ham, who passed away today (April 19, 2012), I am
uploading a "re-mastered" version of the audio from the DVD that I
originally uploaded in September 2009 (and have re-uploaded the video on
April 19, 2012). I have always wanted to try to improve the audio
(although it isn't bad as it was, just could be a bit more dynamic) on
this so I have re-transferred this from the source VHS tape and applied
some equalization to the audio track. I think it turned out really well,
and I have attached a sample if you are needing to compare to what I
previously uploaded. RIP Greg, you were a HUGE part of the Men at Work
sound and success. **
**I had a request over two years ago to rip the audio from the DVD and
upload it, and have now remastered the audio to a point where it is
worth presenting on its own.**

I recorded this when originally broadcast on MTV in 1982, when they had
"Saturday Night Concerts". The quality is excellent, especially
considering the year it was taped (pre stereo TV broadcast and pre HI-FI
VCR), as it was recorded on a brand new 4-head JVC machine. As a
result, the sound is mono and from the linear audio track, but I don't
feel it detracts at all.

This bootleg was compiled from the best available raw sources and was
not stolen from other people's compilations. The audio was remastered
from an audiophile standpoint. Mono material appears in true mono. There
was no additional echo or stereo ambience added. Noise reduction was
not used on any material. Hiss was often reduced through equalization. I
have tried to present the best sonic experience possible without
compromising the integrity of the source material at hand. The final
result is the ultimate Syd bootleg. Even hardcore fans should be able to
find something worthwhile within.
This second version from August 2012 has new sonic upgrades of Tracks
03, 09, 12, 13, 14 & 15. The intro to Track 01 has been patched with
missing material from an inferior source. Tracks 10 & 11 have also
had additional speed correction.

Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd: Earliest interview CBC radio
Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd: Earliest interview CBC radio
This is a rebroadcast from sometime prior to 1985, of perhaps the first
interview Syd and the group did. It was originally recorded for the CBC
in Canada. Portions of this interview pre-date the Floyd's recording
contract!
Following are reminisces of group members and various early people connected with the band.
Run time is about 20 minutes.

When your heart is dancing
Your mind is bouncing
Bounce bounce bounce bounce
I’m a bad dancer
A busy bouncer
Never touch the ground
Never make a sound
I’m a tough lover
A sweet pusher
Writing my life with sand
Waiting too see the land
Place your bets
Watch your step
I’m a bad dancer
With no regrets
Break a leg
Cut the thread
I’m a bad dancer
Full speed ahead
I’m a bad dancer
You’re a bad dancer
He’s a bad dancer
Bad bad bad
I’m a fast mover
A straight shooter
I might bend
To see the end

Moonbeams melting
Into my blood stream
In winter
The snow protected us
Covering our pain
Now I hear ice cracking
Slowly in my brain
My heart is ruminating your sweet words
While my hand’s strangling the birds
People are planets
Their souls are suns
Orbiting the dance floor
Of our cosmic club
Storm clouds were raining
But now they’re gone
My spirit appears like the sun at dawn
Moonbeams spreading their wings
Shining my rings
I got from my three husbands
Who all made me housebound
My heart is ruminating your sweet words
While my hands are skinning the birds.
Spring is here again
Your heartbeat is calling me

TAKE ME TO THE LAND OF HELL
is the new album by
YOKO ONO PLASTIC ONO BAND
Available September 17th
on vinyl, CD & digital download
The album continues an
astonishing bout of creativity for Ono, who celebrated her 80th birthday
this year and has just curated the hugely succesful Meltdown Festival at Southbank, London.
“An extraordinary performance by any standard – for a woman in her ninth decade, almost unbelievable” Evening Standard, June 2013

The truly amazing YOKO ONO releases her brand new album TAKE ME TO THE LAND OF HELL on Chimera Music on Sep 17th.
The album comes four years after her previous studio album BETWEEN MY HEAD AND THE SKY which
received rave reviews and was voted one of Mojo Magazine’s Albums Of
the Year. That same year Ono was awarded both the Lifetime Achievement
Award by Mojo and The Venice Biennale Golden Lion Award for her
ground-breaking music and art. TAKE ME TO THE LAND OF HELL was recorded in New York and was produced by Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon and Yuka Honda. YOKO ONO PLASTIC ONO BAND also includes members of Cornelius and Cibo Matto, plus – for this album – tUnEyArDs, Questlove, Nels Cline and Andrew Wyatt.
The album includes remixes by Mike D & Adrock and Keigo “Cornelius” Oyamada.
The record was planned and made during a hugely productive period which saw Ono’s 2012 show TO THE LIGHT at London’s Serpentine Gallery break attendance records; she then went on to open HALF-A-WIND SHOW, a major retrospective in Frankfurt, finish her instruction book ACORN, travel extensively to oversee various museum shows, score her 10th No 1 hit HOLD ME on the Billboard Dance Chart, actively campaign against fracking in New York State, win the MTV O Music Award for ‘Digital Genius’ and – most recently – plan the Meltdown Festival at Southbank, London, which she curated.
Yoko’s curatorship is already being hailed as the best in the 20 year
history of the festival which this year included a coruscating opening
night performance by YOKO ONO PLASTIC ONO BAND, and
guest appearances by Ono with Cibo Matto, Peaches, Kim Gordon and a
closing night collaborative performance with Siouxsie of Ono’s seminal
“Walking On Thin Ice”.
Meltdown 2013 featured a huge cross–section of artists including
Savages, Kim Gordon, Siouxsie, Cibo Matto, Bo Ningen, Thurston Moore,
Iggy Pop, Deerhoof, Patti Smith, Peaches, Marianne Faithfull, Boy
George, Patrick Wolf, Reggie Watts, Viv Albertine, Alva Noto and Ryuichi
Sakamoto, Pussy Riot and Immortal Technique.

Praise for Yoko’s performance at Meltdown 2013:
“It’s a heck of a racket for a gal in her eighties – Yoko is the star but the music offers her the sky to shine in” The Independent
“An international treasure shines.
Ono has transcended age – she opened Meltdown 2013 with a blistering,
thrilling, cutting-edge musical set which not so much pushed boundaries
as ignored them” Evening Standard
“Even at 80 Yoko is out on her Ono” Observer
“Octogenarian’s standing elevated to the angel of the avant garde” The Guardian

MOONBEAMS, the staggering opening track of the new album, was recently previewed on Soundcloud, ahead of its live premiere as the opening song of Meltdown 2013.
Ono said today:
“My new album comes at a very special
time for me. I’m so happy that it’s being released after all the
incredible shows that made up Meltdown. The energy I have right now, and
the desire to continue to make as much great work as I can, is really
moving me forwards all the time. This album is the culmination of a lot
of ideas I’ve been having over the last few years and I feel proud to
release it at such an exciting time of my life.”
Yoko Ono has a major art retrospective HALF-A WIND SHOW currently on view at the Louisiana Museum in Copenhagen, later opening at Kunsthalle Krems, Austria on 20th November 2013, and another major art retrospective WAR IS OVER! (IF YOU WANT IT) opening on 15th November at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. TAKE ME TO THE LAND OF HELL is released on September 17th.
I’m rolling in your dreams
Listening to your screams
The memory is covered by the rain of pain
The boat will float
to end of seas
Taking your memory of pain
When the Cheshire Cat slowly smiles to us
Cheshire Cat
Cheshire Cat
The river is drying
Faster than your memory of pain
“We the expendable people of the United States
Hold these dreams to be self-destructive”
Cheshire Cat
Cheshire Cat
Taking your memory of pain with it
Cheshire Cat
Cheshire Cat
And the boat will float
to end of seas
“We the expendable people of the United States
Hold these dreams to be self-destructive”
Cheshire Cat
Cheshire Cat
Blood is creating
A lake of tears of pain
Rain of pain
Stop the violence
Stop all wars
Stop the violence
Stop all wars
Taking your memory of pain with it
“We the expendable people of the United States
Ask for the violence to disappear”
“We the expendable people of the United States
Hold these dreams to be self-destructive”
Blood Money will give us independence and power
Stop the violence
I’m rolling in your dreams
Stop all wars
Listening to your screams
Stop the violence
The memory is covered by the rain of pain
Stop all wars
Cheshire Cat
Cheshire Cat
Cheshire Cat
Stop the violence
Stop the violence
Stop all wars

John : No, no especialmente . Yoko : No, no especialmente . No,
No
Usted sabe, yo no sé cómo , sabes .
¿Quieres tostadas ? Yoko : Just té. ¿Qué quieres , café o té ? John : Tea . John : Muchas gracias . Visitante: Aquí tiene. John : Gracias . ¿Vas a tomar de mí ahora " ! Visitante: Sí, si no te importa . Muchas gracias . No, no . John : En cierto modo me estaba bajo esa impresión.
Hermoso , hermoso. Mantenga fumar. Vamos a abrirlo. Nada ilegal, hermoso, hermoso.
