El 13 de septiembre, Experience Hendrix L.L.C., en asociación con Legacy Recordings, la división de catálogo de Sony Music Entertainment, lanzará Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision, una caja de lujo que ofrece 39 pistas (38 inéditas) que fueron grabadas por el nuevo Jimi Hendrix Experience (Billy Cox en el bajo, Mitch Mitchell en la batería) en Electric Lady Studios entre junio y agosto de 1970,  justo antes de la prematura muerte del legendario músico al mes siguiente.

Para celebrar el próximo lanzamiento, el 8 de agosto, la Ciudad de Nueva York cambiará temporalmente el nombre de la parte de West 8th Street entre 6th Street y MacDougal Street a JIMI HENDRIX WAY. Esta es la manzana en la que se construyeron Electric Lady Studios y aún se mantiene en pie. También habrá un evento de proyección para los medios de comunicación dentro del estudio esa noche. El estreno oficial en cines de Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision será el 9 de agosto en Quad Cinema en Manhattan a las 7:00 p.m. y contará con una sesión de preguntas y respuestas posterior a la proyección con el director y coproductor John McDermott, el coproductor y presidente / CEO de Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. El proyecto también incluye 20 mezclas de sonido envolvente 5.1 de nueva creación de todo el álbum First Rays Of The New Rising Sun más tres pistas adicionales [«Valleys Of Neptune», «Pali Gap» y «Lover Man»]. El Blu-ray incluye el documental aclamado por la crítica Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision . La película narra la creación del estudio, que se elevó desde los escombros de un club nocturno en bancarrota de Manhattan hasta convertirse en una instalación de grabación de última generación inspirada en el deseo de Hendrix de tener un estudio permanente. Al frente del proyecto se encuentra una versión inédita de «Angel [Take 7]».  Esta nueva versión mezclada y despojada incluye las actuaciones originales grabadas por Hendrix, Mitchell y Cox el 23 de julio de 1970.  No incluye ninguno de los elementos de batería y percusión adicionales que Mitchell optó por agregar a esta toma maestra después de la muerte de Jimi.

Contenidos en los cinco LP de vinilo o tres CD en los Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision box set hay 39 pistas grabadas por Jimi y su banda, compuesta por el bajista Billy Cox y el baterista Mitch Mitchell, en el estudio durante los últimos cuatro meses de vida del guitarrista. Hendrix estaba trabajando duro en la creación de First Rays Of The New Rising Sun, el ambicioso álbum doble que seguiría a su obra maestra de 1968 Electric Ladyland . Inspirado en las posibilidades del nuevo estudio, The Experience construyó platos clásicos como «Night Bird Flying», «Freedom» y «Dolly Dagger» desde cero. El documental explica en profundidad que, si bien la muerte de Jimi Hendrix le robó al público tanto potencial musical, el éxito continuo de su estudio de grabación proporciona un legado duradero más allá de su propia música. John Lennon, The Clash, AC/DC, Chic, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder y cientos más grabaron discos en Electric Lady Studios, lo que habla de uno de los logros duraderos de Jimi en una industria que ha cambiado radicalmente en el transcurso del último medio siglo.

Conductor and creator of radio broadcasts and soundtracks for TV, artistic animator and graphic designer, Mons Art Stage gallery owner. He strongly believes in blending education and beauty as elements of emancipation and progress of the human being. The Merry-Go-Round project is a work in progress, inspired by Dutch-writer-photographer Gisella du Mée. The creative team, led by Mons DJ, with narration from Julian Lennon, and Sandrina B. Rubelli (Italian designer and intellectual cultural figure) assembles a selected melange of the written word and universal poetry, blended on occasion, with Julian's lyrics, backed-up by a musical score, a soundtrack designed specifically for each theme.
