Early Days:

They can't take it from me if they try
I lived through those early days
So many times I had to change the pain to laughter
Just to keep from getting crazed

Dressed in black from head to toe
Two guitars across our backs
We would walk the city roads
Seeking someone who would listen to the music
That we were writing down at home

But they can't take it from me if they try
I lived through those early days
So many times I had to change the pain to laughter
Just to keep from getting crazy

Hair slicked back with Vaseline
Like the pictures on the wall
Of the local record shop
Hearing noises we were destined to remember
We willed the thrill to never stop

May sweet memories of friends from the past
Always come to you, when you look for them
And your inspiration, long may it last
May it come to you, time and time again

Now everybody seems to have their own opinion
Who did this and who did that
But as for me I don't see how they can remember
When they weren't where it was at

And they can't take it from me if they try
I lived through those early days
So many times I had to change the pain to laughter
Just to keep from getting crazed
I lived through those early days
I lived through those early days

MPL and the Concord Music Group are proud to announce two more landmark instalments in the multiple GRAMMY-winning Paul McCartney Archive Collection.

On 2nd October, 2015, Paul’s early ‘80s back-to-back classics 'Tug of War' and 'Pipes of Peace' will receive lavish multiple configuration reissue treatment including exclusive 2015 remixes of both the entire 'Tug of War' album and the 'Pipes of Peace' classic collaboration with Michael Jackson 'Say Say Say,' a treasure trove of previously unreleased tracks and never before seen video, and much more.

Released in 1982, 'Tug of War' was Paul’s first album following the break-up of Wings and his third solo LP overall. Hailed upon its release as “exquisitely crafted” by The New York Times and a “masterpiece” by Rolling Stone, 'Tug of War' went to #1 in no less than nine countries. 'Tug of War' yielded such classic tracks as Paul’s #1 duet with Stevie Wonder 'Ebony and Ivory,' the top 10 single 'Take It Away,' and of course 'Here Today,' the conversation Paul never had with the late John Lennon that remains a staple of Paul’s live set to this day.

As with the GRAMMY-winning 'Band on the Run' and 'Wings Over America' Archive editions, Paul personally supervised all aspects of these releases and their various formats, which include:

'Tug of War' will be issued as a 2-CD Special Edition comprised of the 2015 remix of the entire album, plus a second disc of bonus audio featuring eight previously unreleased demos of both album tracks and outtakes 'Stop, You Don’t Know Where She Came From' and 'Something That Didn’t Happen,' as well as demo and solo versions of 'Ebony and Ivory' and more.

The 'Tug Of War' 3-CD/1-DVD Deluxe Edition adds the original 1982 album mix and a DVD featuring original music videos for the album’s singles and the brand new 18-minute documentary 'Fly TIA—Behind The Scenes on Take It Away' featuring previously unseen archival footage.

In keeping with the award-winning Paul McCartney Archive Collection standards, the 'Tug of War' Deluxe Edition will include a 112-page essay book and 64-page scrapbook, while the strictly limited run of 1000 Super Deluxe sets will arrive in a limited edition acrylic slipcase with five hand numbered prints of images from the Linda McCartney archive.

Both albums and their companion bonus audio discs will also be released as 2-LP 180-gram audiophile vinyl editions complete with gatefold sleeves and download cards. The newly remixed and mastered 'Tug of War' and remastered 'Pipes of Peace' will also receive standard and Hi Res digital releases, as well deluxe digital and Hi Res releases featuring all bonus audio.

'Tug of War' and 'Pipes of Peace' are the newest instalments in the acclaimed and ongoing Paul McCartney Archive Collection. The inaugural release in the series, the Deluxe Edition of Paul McCartney and Wings’ 1973 milestone 'Band on the Run', won the 2010 GRAMMY Award for Best Historical Album, while the Deluxe Edition Box Set of the 1976 classic live collection 'Wings Over America' took the 2013 GRAMMY for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package.

Previous releases in this ambitious reissue program encompassing 41 years of timeless material from the most successful songwriter and recording artist of all time include solo works 'McCartney' and 'McCartney II', Paul and Linda McCartney’s 'RAM', and Wings’ 'Venus and Mars' and 'At The Speed Of Sound'.

For booking: annasentinabooking@gmail.com

Lyrics:
Yeah, the movement's in motion with mass militant poetry
Now check this out...uggh!

In the right light, study becomes insight
But the system that dissed us
Teaches us to read and right

So called facts are fraud
They want us to allege and pledge
And bow down to their God
Lost the culture, the culture lost
Spun our minds and through time
Ignorance has taken over
Yo, we gotta take the power back!
Bam! Here's the plan
Motherfuck Uncle Sam
Step back, I know who I am
Raise up your ear, I'll drop the style and clear
It's the beats and the lyrics they fear
The rage is relentless
We need a movement with a quickness
You are the witness of change
And to counteract
We gotta take the power back

Yeah, we gotta take the power back
Come on, come on!
We gotta take the power back

The present curriculum
I put my fist in 'em
Eurocentric every last one of 'em
See right through the red, white and blue disguise
With lecture I puncture the structure of lies
Installed in our minds and attempting
To hold us back
We've got to take it back
Holes in our spirit causin' tears and fears
One-sided stories for years and years and years
I'm inferior? Who's inferior?
Yeah, we need to check the interior
Of the system that cares about only one culture
And that is why
We gotta take the power back

Yeah, we gotta take the power back
Come on, come on!
We gotta take the power back

Hey yo check, we're gonna have to break it, break it,
break it down
Awww shit!

Uggh!

And like this...uggh!

Come on, yeah! Bring it back the other way!

The teacher stands in front of the class
But the lesson plan he can't recall
The student's eyes don't perceive the lies
Bouning off every fucking wall
His composure is well kept
I guess he fears playing the fool
The complacent students sit and listen to some of that
Bullshit that he learned in school

Europe ain't my rope to swing on
Can't learn a thing from it
Yet we hang from it
Gotta get it, gotta get it together then
Like the motherfuckin' weathermen
To expose and close the doors on those who try
To strangle and mangle the truth
'Cause the circle of hatred continues unless we react
We gotta take the power back

Yeah, we gotta take the power back
Come on, come on!
We gotta take the power back

No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies

Uggh!

Yeah!

Take it back y'all
Take it back, a-take it back
A-take it back y'all, come on!
Take it back y'all
Take it back, a-take it back
A-take it back y'all, come on!

Hey Bulldog history

Hey Bulldog

Yellow Submarine album artworkWritten by: Lennon-McCartney
Recorded: 11 February 1968
Producer: George Martin
Engineer: Geoff Emerick
Released: 17 January 1969 (UK), 13 January 1969 (US)
John Lennon: vocals, piano, guitar
Paul McCartney: vocals, bass, tambourine
George Harrison: guitar
Ringo Starr: drums
Available on:
Yellow Submarine
Yellow Submarine Songtrack
Released on the soundtrack to the Yellow Submarine animation, Hey Bulldog was written and recorded while The Beatles were being filmed for a promotional film for Lady Madonna.
Download on iTunes

The song started life as Hey Bullfrog, based on a few ideas sketched out by John Lennon. The line 'Some kind of solitude is measured out in you' was originally 'measured out in news', but McCartney claimed to have misread Lennon's handwriting.
Paul said we should do a real song in the studio, to save wasting time. Could I whip one off? I had a few words at home so I brought them in.
John Lennon
The Beatles, Hunter Davies
The title came about after McCartney made a barking sound during the session, as he and Lennon ad-libbed during the finale. The Beatles decided to keep the barking in, changing the title to Hey Bulldog to fit.
Hunter Davies also recounted how Lennon originally tried playing a sitar on the track, strumming it like George Formby's ukulele and singing in a Lancashire accent. Although an intriguing proposition, The Beatles were unable to work this into the song.
Musically, the song harks back to the early R&B riffs of songs such as Money (That's What I Want), and retains a similar blues feel as Lady Madonna - the two songs were combined on the Love album.
An animated sequence for Hey Bulldog was made for the Yellow Submarine film, although it was originally included only in European prints.
That's me, 'cause of the Yellow Submarine people, who were gross animals apart from the guy who drew the paintings for the movie. They lifted all the ideas for the movie out of our heads and didn't give us any credit. We had nothing to do with that movie, and we sort of resented them. It was the third movie that we owed United Artists. Brian had set it up and we had nothing to do with it. But I liked the movie, the artwork. They wanted another song, so I knocked off Hey Bulldog. It's a good-sounding record that means nothing.
John Lennon
All We Are Saying, David Sheff
The recording of Hey Bulldog, unusually, was captured by a film crew. As The Beatles were preparing to travel to India, a promotional film for Lady Madonna was commissioned, to be issued in their absence.
The Hey Bulldog animated sequence was restored for the 1999 worldwide re-release of Yellow Submarine. At the same time Apple revisited the original studio footage of The Beatles and synchronised it with the song, to create a new promo clip.
When we were in the studio recording Bulldog, apparently it was at a time when they needed some footage for something else, some other record, and a film crew came along and filmed us. Then they cut up the footage and used some of the shots for something else. But it was Neil Aspinall who found out that when you watched and listened to what the original thing was, we were recording Bulldog. This was apparently the only time we were actually filmed recording something, so what Neil did was, he put it all back together again and put the Bulldog soundtrack onto it, and there it was.
George Harrison
Hey Bulldog was later cited by The Beatles' engineer Geoff Emerick as one of their final true group efforts, with equal contributions from all members. Following their Indian jaunt The Beatles' sense of togetherness began to sour; they tended to work separately, with increasingly frequent disagreements which eventually led to their split.

In the studio

On 11 February The Beatles recorded, completed and mixed Hey Bulldog during a 10-hour session. The basic rhythm tracks consisted of piano, drums, tambourine, lead guitar and bass.
By take 10 they had a good version, and so onto this were overdubbed more drums, fuzz bass, a guitar solo, double tracked lead vocals by Lennon and backing vocals from McCartney.

I remember Hey Bulldog as being one of John's songs and I helped him finish it off in the studio, but it's mainly his vibe. There's a little rap at the end between John and I; we went into a crazy little thing at the end.

A Day In The Life Of Paul McCartney's MASSIVE EGO"(STARRING, Paul McCartney's "MASSIVE EGO

"A Day In The Life Of Paul McCartney's MASSIVE EGO"(STARRING, Paul McCartney's "MASSIVE EGO

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4f1EelcsFY

What I have to say about Macca, in short, is that the "cute" Beatle in real life is not exactly "cute." Sir Paul {Oh, that 'Sir' bit makes me gag!} has become a bit of a monster: "The Great Walking Ego." He was arrogant, turning up late for the meeting with Brian Epstein that would seal their future, and soon considered himself a cut above the others. Macca really broke up The Beatles. He was the first one to sue. He hated that the other three wanted Allen Klein to be their manager - he wanted the Eastman family to represent them, Linda's family - so he simply sued for dissolution of "Beatles Inc." Macca drove Wings to a very bitchy end. He mis-treated his bandmates, insisting on having his own way over every note, every single stage movement, even every stage costume. He was notorious for not paying the band on time, or in amounts of $$ promised, or not paying at all. (He refused to sign contracts establishing exact remuneration band members would be paid.) He played favourites with pay packages, creating an atmosphere of sycophancy: Be nice to Himself, maybe you'll get paid more than the others. He has recorded so many desultory, awful solo albums that went nowhere, unlike his fellow Beatles who usually at least got their records on the charts. (Even Ringo) He has hidden behind a carefully cultivated PR image of blokeish normality, but ultimately his phalanx of PR hacks fail to disguise a man who has lost touch with everyday reality, buying land, houses, cars and horses as we shop for groceries. A music-business manager is quoted in "Fab": rock stars are never like the rest of us - they only pretend to be.

It's clearly evident that Macca has one MASSIVE EGO, and he's a Control Freak! He is, however, a talented actor and uses his personal charm to seduce "friends" and fans. I think his seductive charm - his charisma - was the quality of his that first pulled him into John Lennon's orbit. Didn't Lennon sour on him after many years, saying that Paul was a person he loved-and-hated? There you have it: Macca is a "difficult" personality. Yes, he's hugely talented, ambitious and charismatic. But everywhere he goes he tends to leave a few enemies behind. It's so easy for fans to raise a talent like Macca to god-like status. But he's just a human being. Not much different from you, or me! His knighthood is no big deal - everybody and his brother in the UK gets one for doing anything impressive. His vast wealth allows him to insulate himself from the real world, our world where people have to give a bit to take a bit, and get along with one another. No, he Gets Everything He Wants! Not so Cute!

TRADUCIDA:

Macca realmente rompió The Beatles.

Beautiful Night - Paul McCartney

Thanks to one of Paul McCartney's crown His achievements in post-Beatles career paired With some fairly solid materials from John, George and Ringo, This album re-imagined Becomes one of the best of the series. As With the other three albums, my song selections centered on the ones That Seemed to be the most "Beatlesy" and Could come together as a unified album. Starting with the stand-outs of Lennon's Mind Games, the plethora of great tracks McCartney Were Chosen based on How They fit in with John's. Likewise, the remaining George Songs That Were not taken for my 1972 Beatles album Living In The Material World Were contenders for Band On The Run, and the more serene and majestic tracks fit nicely With the Lennon and McCartney choices. Of course Ringo's "Photograph" was a necessity.
In My Opinion, the album was so cohesive RESULTING That half of the songs all Seemed to be in the same key, Which allowed the first half of side B to crossfade Continuously! Note That the title track and it's new sister-songs "I Know, I Know" and "No Words" lead off side B Instead of side A Because the album Seemed to need the dynamic left and right punch of "Mind Games" and " Jet "to start the record. Note Deny That we are overlooking Laine's co-writing credit on "No Words", since we've Already Been overlooking Both Linda McCartney and Yoko Ono's credits In This Entire series! But Denny does not sing Lennon-esque harmonies anyways? The last touch was the hilariously obvious cover art.
So sit back, relax and imagine: After the long "Never Ending" North American Tour in 1972, The Beatles retreat to a secluded Nigerian studio to write and record songs for Their next album; the serenity from the hectic touring and after-show parties make the band more focused and united in Their Efforts; the non-LP single "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)" b / w "Picasso's Last Words (Drink To Me)" recording During These sessions, became a number one hit while The Beatles finished up the remainder of the in album back in London; Band On The Run was finally released in 1973 to massive critical and commercial acclaim, Hailed as their "second Abbey Road."
Seen not only as Their best album if the 1970s but one of the best albums of The Beatles' career, Band On The Run made up for any lost momentum from the previous year's album Living In The Material World. Two hit singles from meat Band On The Run, including "Mind Games" b / w the non-LP B-side "Helen Wheels" and "Jet" b / w the non-LP B-side "Meat City". In support of the album, The Beatles embarked on a world tour in September 1973. It would be bittersweet though, as at the finding of the recording sessions for Band On The Run John Entered what was Known as his "Lost Weekend" Which extended All Through the tour and into next year. Exasperated by John's wild behavior and disloyalty eminent During the 1972 North American tour, separated from Yoko Ono John, presumably to allow him an extended His bachelor party to exorcise demons. John embraced His new-found freedom With taste, and the commercial success of Band On The Run and the RESULTING world tour was a stage for His Increasing debauchery. Into 1974 it was only Paul WHO Recognized John's downward spiral, and Hoped there was a way to Prevent The Beatles from saying 'good night' ...
